It has been said that giving is not God's way of raising money, it is God's way of raising people into the likeness of His Son. Giving as God asks us through His Church requires us to make choices, put Him first, and invest in His Kingdom. This whole process shapes our character and aligns our will with His, revealing more of our potential brillance.
Your tithes and offerings are truly impactful because they help us move forward in faith day-to-day where God is leading us as a church, and put us in a position of strength to fulfill God’s purposes for our church. Every gift matters toward our operating needs and to our growth in discipleship as individual followers of Jesus Christ!

Make Your Gift
Online Offering
Online Gift Planning and Online Giving are easy, quick, and secure ways to make your commitment to give back or make a gift to God.
If you are using a bank account, please have your 9-digit Routing and Account numbers on hand. Click here for reference in finding these numbers.
We discourage the use of credit cards if you will incur debt in the process.
One-time gifts: simple to set up using a debit or credit card, or from a bank account.
Recurring gifts: set up a schedule that works for you, and provide flexibility to track and manage your giving through your debit or credit card, or from a bank account.
Bill Pay: simple to set up using your bank provider of choice. You will need to contact your bank, or visit their website, for specific instructions and set up. Generic, online instructions are:
- Visit your bank's website and find the Bill Pay option
- Select option to "Add a Company"
- Select appropriate category, if needed, and choose "Other Company"
- Enter Signal Crest's contact information (1005 Ridgeway Avenue
- Signal Mountain, TN 37377, 423-886-2330) and submit
- From your Payment Center, you should then be able to set-up and issue a one-time or recurring "bill payment" which the bank will mail to the church on your behalf
In Person Giving
The church is open Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 12:30 pm for anyone who wishes to drop off their offering in person, needs to pick up a prayer shawl, or take care of any other needed business at church.

IRA Distributions
Individuals age 70-½ or older can transfer funds from an IRA to satisfy the required minimum distribution for the year. Please consult your financial planner.
Bequests
The Signal Crest Endowment Committee serves for the purpose of providing information on opportunities to make charitable estate gifts to the church, including endowments. Endowments are perpetual funds that will provide support for ministry for many years to come.
In addition to the loc al Endowment Committee, Signal Crest UMC is supported by the Holston Conference Foundation, which is a "back-office" for churches across the conference. It is a separate non-profit entity from the actual conference; therefore, monies stewarded and philanthropic advice given by its employees is unbiased and is in support of the local church. Consultations by the Foundation's staff is free of charge and all information is confidential.
Should you wish to discuss an estate gift to Signal Crest, you can speak with church staff, the Endowment Committee, or the Holston Conference Foundation staff. All conversations are confidential. More information on the Holston Conference Foundation is available at https:// holstonfoundation.org
Gifts of Stock
Stock gifts may be a beneficial option for your gift plans. To transfer stock, have your broker utilize Fidelity Investments. The following information is needed to complete the transaction:

Please include the donor's name. Your name is not provided in the transfer and we want to ensure we can record your gift correctly.
As a courtesy, please notify Allison Maynard, Financial Secretary, at giving@signalcrestumc.org that you are transferring stock to Signal Crest.
Documentation
All gifts to Signal Crest that can be attributed to an individual will be documented, and a quarterly statement will be mailed to your address on file.

Plan Your Yearly Gift
Every year at Signal Crest we host a Stewardship Campaign. This allows us to educate the church community on the ministries and missions of the church. It also enables us to receive your giving plan for the year. We use this information to set our budget for the year. This budget includes the operating expenses of the church as well as the many outreach activities we are involved in from our children and youth programs to the missions we support.
