Children's Sunday School

Sundays at 10am in the Kid's Crest Room

Our K-5th grade Sunday school curriculum, 252 Basics, is based on the  Orange Strategy, which focuses on combining influences of home (red) and church (yellow) for a GREATER IMPACT (orange) on our children’s lives.

In a child’s life, there are an estimated 936 weeks from birth to graduation that you, as parents, and we, as the church, are given to shape help their lives. If you reduce the number of weeks to the age your child is now, you see how much time is left and you can understand how important it is to make it count…teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.  Psalm 90:12.

(You can read more about making your time count and what really matters from the creators of the Orange curriculum, Reggie Joiner and Kristen Ivy,  Playing for Keeps/Losing Your Marbles).

252 Basics is a monthly curriculum designed for K-5th based on three basic truths modeled by Jesus in  Luke 2:52:
I need to make the wise choice. I can trust God no matter what. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
252 Basics presents key Bible stories that help kids discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them. It offers a new theme each month and presents a new Life App to help children discover more about God’s character. And each Life App is unpacked through a weekly Bottom Line—a short phrase so easy to remember that it can be reinforced at home throughout the week. 3 Basic Truths + 150 Bible Stories + 30 Life Apps = 252 Basics
Keep the weekly lesson a topic at home with these tools: Parent CUEs offer a summary of the weekly lesson and two MealTime questions to help start a conversation. Download the app here. GodTime cards are weekly devotionals, which we hand out at the end of Small Groups each week. These devotions are designed for kids and parents to do together (K-3rd grade) or for kids to do on their own (4th-5th grade).
