Children events

Our K-5 children's ministry has outgrown its current space. As a result,Church Council voted in July 2017 to renovate the fellowship hall and dedicate this space as the new K-5 children's wing. Adult Sunday school classes that currently reside in the fellowship hall will move upstairs beginning  June 3  into designated classrooms equipped with permanent walls and better technology. This move will also establish a media-equipped meeting space upstairs for church business in the current Kid’s Crest room.

The project is slated to begin  with a demolition day of the fellowship hall  on Saturday, June 2.  To minimize cost, much of the demolition will be handled by volunteers. There is a job for everyone!  Many hands make light work!

We need people to help with the Demo and provide lunch.

Summer family day

Nothing is more relaxing or beautiful than spending a day out of cell range on the beautiful Hiwassee River.

On July 14 we will meet at the church at 9:30am to caravan to the river.  The water level on the river is controlled and remains low until 2pm, it is perfect for exploring and enjoying the water!  You will want to wear river sandals (Chacos, Tevas, Keens, etc) or water shoes, do not wear flip flops.

Around 2pm we will carpool to a drop in and float the river, there is no age limit on the Hiwassee and is about an hour and a half float.

You may bring your own floats (kayaks/canoes/etc.) and life jackets, anyone under 16 is required to wear a life jacket.  There is also a place to rent floats, kayaks, duckies, and life jackets at our put in, Webb Brothers Store.

We will grill burgers for lunch.  Bring a side dish and drinks to share.  Please register so we can order the right amount of food and look for your family before we leave the church. (Registration begins April 1)
